Professor Bing Zhang Delivers Public Lecture on Multi-messenger Astrophysics at the 6th Zeldovich Meeting

Professor Bing Zhang, Chair of Astrophysics in the Department of Physics and Founding Director of the Hong Kong Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (HKIAA) at the University of Hong Kong, recently delivered a public lecture at the 6th Zeldovich Meeting in Pescara, Italy. 

Organized by the International Center for Relativistic Astrophysics Network (ICRANet), this prestigious international conference was held from July 13 to July 17, 2026, in honor of the renowned physicist Ya. B. Zeldovich.

Professor Zhang’s public talk on July 14 was titled “Multi-messenger Astrophysics”. As one of the world’s leading theoretical astrophysicists, Professor Zhang shared his insights into some of the most powerful explosions in the universe, drawing on his extensive, award-winning research in gamma-ray bursts, fast radio bursts, black holes, and neutron stars.
